Main Street, Dr. William Benton Whisenhunt, professor of History at the College of DuPage presents a program on the history of the college that is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. On September 25, 1967, College of DuPage opened under the leadership of President Rodney K. Bert and Board of Trustees Chairman, George L. Seaton. Now, on its 273 acre Glen Ellyn campus, its district today encompasses over a million residents of DuPage, Cook and Will counties. Take a look back, relive the decades of challenges and growth, and catch a glimpse of COD at 50. Learn about the history and evolution of this exciting school.
