On Saturday, January 27 at 2:00 PM the Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents Actor and Historian Terry Lynch as Ulysses S. Grant in the History Center at 800 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn. It has been 150 years since the Civil War. Ulysses S. Grant, commander of the Union Army, commemorates this anniversary as he reveals how the war impacted the lives of all Americans. The conflict was not restricted to the fields of battle. The war affected the lives of average citizens as the nation struggled to remain united. Lynch gives a first-person presentation as one of the most historically important figures of the American Civil war. Admission is $10 adults, $8 GEHS members, and $5 for students.
