On Wed. August 9 at 7:00 PM in the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street, historian Gary Wenstrup traces the Beatles' careers. This musical entity has not existed for over 50 years, yet their story, their personalities and their music continues to fascinate and resonate. Thanks to a treasure chest of memorable songs and an uncanny ability to chart fresh musical direction with each new album, the Beatles remain one of the world’s most popular and iconic bands. Wenstrup describes their music from their development in Liverpool, through Beatlemania, into their psychedelic phase and finally their dissolution. “A splendid time is guaranteed for all.” Refreshments. Admission $5 at door. Call 630-469-1867 and check the website at www.gehs.org.
