Whether we like it or not, our kids have a digital reputation, also referred to as a digital footprint. Thus, we want to cement in their minds an understanding that what they create is associated with them. We don’t want there to be a huge fear factor attached to this idea-we simply need to encourage kids who participate in social spaces to produce positive content, always. It’s not that they can’t be critical or disagree with something, but their tone should be constructive and sensitive to the feelings of others.

Heitner will help guide parents in helping their teens and tweens develop healthy boundaries with regard to privacy and public facing identity in an increasingly screen centered world.

Devorah founded Raising Digital Natives for parents and educators seeking advice on how to help children thrive in a world of digital connectedness.
