GPS Presents Consejos de comunicación para hablar con los adolescentes/Communication Tips for Talking to Teens

B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Council and GPS: Glenbard Parent Series in Spanish will present Communication Tips for Talking to Teens with Ferney Ramirez at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Glenbard East, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard.

Keeping the child-parent relationship strong can be tricky, but maintaining a trusting and healthy relationship is more important than ever during the teen years. Ramirez will share tips to help parents and caregivers build a strong relationship with their adolescent. He also will discuss ways to enhance communication while providing age-appropriate structure. He will explain how to create an environment that helps students develop responsibility, increase confidence and boost their motivation to make positive choices for their future.

This program will be presented in Spanish only.

Ramírez is the author of 10 mental health publications and president of the Family First Organization. He also coordinates programs for families in Chicago and numerous Illinois school districts.
