Vic Carapella, noted local expert in Folk Art, presents a broad overview of the thriving field of American Folk Art. The program is presented at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street on Saturday, May 7 at 2:00 PM. There is no charge for this program and refreshments are served. Since the mid-1970's, quilting has been accepted into this genre. Vic Carapella will explain the history of quilting and how it transformed itself from the creation of practical blankets.
